I have always been obsessed with jello- as sculptural objects, the beauty of the shapes and curves of the molds, its translucent colors and wobbly consistency. But mostly I like jello because I can't think of it without thinking about my dad.

CASA se dice HOME, GELATINA se dice YELLOW is the first part of a short film in which I'm attempting to associate and reconstruct my father as jello.
He loved it and he would often buy it while he ran errands out in my hometown. He would not eat it right away, so the jello would travel with him in his improvised backpacks all day long, melting, smashing and disintegrating, losing its body and shape.

He would put it in the fridge when he would get home, and the jello would always reconstitute itself, forgiving the rough treatment of daily life, ready to be rebuilt and reconstituted with the same elements, but somehow also becoming something new.
