This piece is an attempt to materialize voice and conversations, memories that exist outside of time, with no beginning or end. As a sort of meditation and coping mechanism, I have the habit of recording myself having conversations that I was never able to have with my father, thoughts that I wished I had said. The calming movement and motion of the soundwaves that appeared on the screen of my recording device captivated me, as I realized that audio waves can in fact embody emotion, give shape and manifest the voice, and even give room and form to the important moments of silence.
Wanting to bring them to the corporeal world and hoping to be part of shaping those late conversations, I chose important fragments to be represented as clay sculptures.
